honestly I'm so annoyed when people just say "heyyy she was this, she was that", without proper evidences. mostly i just turn silent and yes let everyone expressed their thinking. and.. the real thing happened when they asked me...

first of all... I'm a super thinking person.. like you can catch me playing all day or doing anything else but my mind is always wondering at small or big things.

I've tried to decolorize the sepia video at introduction story but I can't, bcs it will be biased. whoever did decolorization to that video I'm gonna assume that they bias to certain girl.. why? because it is impossible to pick the proper color for the video.

so.. do you think it is impossible to know who is the real childhood girl?

no, it is not impossible. that girl actually left some evidences: the visual and the talking.

let's try to see from her appearance first.

she had pigtails. not really helping, since all of them can wear pigtails. even the short haired elli can cut her pigtails when she grows up.

that childhood girl's hair was 100% NOT black. so she was not Mary. the reason is.. doesn't matter how you edit normal video or photo to sepia photo or video, black color will just show black.

Mary is one point off here.

The childhood girl's dress. She wore apron dress. The only girl who wears apron dress until now is Elli and Popuri. Karen and Ann have tomboyish style, so I wonder if they wore apron dress as a child, also Mary, she doesn't wear apron dress but still she is dressed girly but again we can't judge someone from the style.

move to the... hair type. I'm pretty sure that this childhood girl didn't have wavy hair like Popuri does. Again, I dunno if Popuri intentionally makes her hair wavy (judging from Lillia's hair, I guess Popuri is born with wavy hair).

She said that she lives in the town and yes she knew that there was a new boy (which was you or the MC). A pretty obvious proof that she was awake about changes, which means also that she knew the village and its villagers.. something that can't be achieved by a newcomer.

Mary is a newcomer, so two points off for Mary. Judging from Ellen and her relationship to Saibara and Barley, Elli stays at Mineral Town for a significant time. While the other girls have their parents about at the same age (probably Elli's parents were at the same age too) so yes... pretty much Elli wins this category as the most awake girl here.

another talking evidence is... the childhood girl ever stated that... she came to the flower field to play alone.

if... what she meant by 'alone' is she had no one to play so she came to the flower field, so Popuri and Elli were not in this track since they had Stu and Rick as brothers. OH, if you are wondering that Stu might NOT even yet be born, it means that Elli still had her mother living there with her and she probably won't feel lonely because she lived with her family. the girls with no siblings will have better chance here since they were 'lonely' and playing alone.

Mary: Most highly not. She only wins at her habit on visiting the SAME SPOT flower field, is lonely (2 points)

Popuri: Wears apron dress, stays at the town for long time, and has a habit to visit hot spring (3 points)
